As part of its Engineers Week Activities in
February, the Memphis-Area Joint Engineers
Council sponsors a contest for Middle
School and High School students in the
Greater Memphis Metropolitan Community. It
is an opportunity for students to express their
creativity and demonstrate their ingenuity by
working on concept projects designed to
improve our quality of life.

Annual Engineers Week Student Contest
Contest Objectives:
Present a product that could be used to benefit society. This could involve inventing something,
modifying something to make it more useful or better, or finding another use for something that
normally would be discarded.
